About the Position: The Mid-Level Ruby on Rails Full Stack Developer plays a crucial role in the development team, combining technical expertise with a collaborative and adaptable mindset. This position involves actively contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of scalable web applications while ensuring quality and efficiency.
The Mid-Level Developer will be a key team player, capable of solving moderately complex technical challenges independently and supporting junior developers when necessary. They will also collaborate closely with senior engineers and project leads to align technical implementations with project objectives.
They are expected to balance technical contributions with strong communication, teamwork, and time management skills, fostering a productive and innovative environment.This role is ideal for professionals who are eager to grow, adapt to new challenges, and contribute both technically and creatively to the success of the team.

Work modality: Hybrid Uruguay - Argentina. Offices located in Carrasco (Montevideo) and Villa Crespo (Buenos Aires).

Onboarding: Full-time position based in Montevideo.

Tech Skills:

Requirements:

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails technologies.
  
• Capable of building complete web applications and applying object-oriented programming principles effectively.
  
• Competent in writing efficient and optimized code, including creating and managing queries for relational databases.
• Experienced in writing and maintaining unit tests, ensuring code quality, and integrating testing into development workflows.
• Competent in managing version control workflows, including resolving conflicts and handling branching strategies in collaborative environments.
• Capable of developing dynamic and responsive user interfaces, with an understanding of how to improve performance and accessibility.
• Familiar with creating and managing containerized applications and coordinating multi-service environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with performance optimization techniques for front-end and back-end applications.
• Familiarity with advanced testing strategies, such as integration or end-to-end testing.
• Exposure to scalable deployment practices, including basic container orchestration tools.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and how to apply them to user interfaces.
• Experience mentoring junior developers or collaborating on team-wide best practices.
